Call for Artists, Creatives Open Call – Horatio’s Garden

OPEN CALL FOR CREATIVES IN LONDON:

Horatio’s Garden is a fabulous charity that creates and nurtures beautiful gardens at NHS spinal injury centres. The spaces are stunning sanctuaries, created by well-known garden designers.

We’re looking for a wide range of creative people to join us to bring an exciting range of activities and workshops to suit patients of all ages and backgrounds in Horatio’s Garden London & South East.

We are seeking visual artists, sculptors, musicians to perform, singing group facilitators, creative writers, ceramicists, textile artists, print makers, photographers and more to form a programme of activities that will run year-round in the garden and garden room. The sessions are designed to bring gentle rehabilitation and enjoyment to patients and their families during a very difficult time.

The aims are:
To run workshops that bring enjoyment and distraction to patients;
To be friendly, approachable and help patients to be creative, encouraging them to develop a new interest in arts and crafts or build on their existing talents;
To provide a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere;
To be inspired by the garden.
