Flourish 2022: Open Call for Artist Proposals

An inter-generational wellbeing arts programme for North Kensington families

ACAVA are seeking to expand our pool of freelance facilitating artists having recently secured three years of funding from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to continue delivery of Flourish – our much-valued North Kensington school holiday creative family offer. We are particularly interested in hearing from artists currently underrepresented within the sector and whose heritage reflects a cross section of the diverse North Kensington community.

What we are looking for

● Artists with a socially engaged practice who have experience working within a community and/or health and wellbeing setting

● Artists who enjoy the process of collaboration and co-creation, both with participants and other creative practitioners

● Artists who will incorporate their own creative practice within the delivery of the Flourish workshops

● Artists who reflect the ethnic diversity of our families and North Kensington communities. In 2021, 63% of participating families identified as being from a minority ethnic or mixed background

Selected artists will join the current pool of practitioners and be offered the opportunity to deliver at least 3 workshops during the course of the programme.
