Join us on this taster course to gain an insight into the content of Art and Design for 11 to 13 Year Olds Online Short Course.
During the taster session participants will be introduced to the main reasons for studying art and design, these being for mental wellbeing/self regulation, and for the acquisition of skills necessary for the creative industries.
You will be introduced to the creative industries, shining light on their ever-growing importance within society, as well as entry routes and further education in the visual arts. The session will include a few short practical tasks to illustrate aspects of the delivered content. A portfolio of artworks will be shown, depicting what will be produced on the course.
Who should attend this course?
This taster session is aimed at young people aged 11 to 13 years-old with an interest in art and design and/or is interested in acquiring the skills necessary to enter into the creative industries in the future.
