DYCP supports individuals who are cultural and creative practitioners and want to take time to focus on their creative development.
Round 12 will open for applications on 9 November 2021. The deadline for applications will be 7 December 2021.
Important eligibility update
We received over 13,000 applications in Rounds 8-11 of DYCP. This is over three times what we would usually expect across four rounds. To help improve the chances of success, we made some changes to the eligibility criteria which will remain in place for Round 12.
If you have made two unsuccessful or one successful application since 17 April 2019, you won’t be eligible to apply in Round 12.

Round 10: successful applicants
We’ve seen very high demand in Round 10, with 1,455 eligible applications received. We supported as many exciting and ambitious proposals as we could, investing over £3.4 million for this round. We supported 375 individuals and freelancers to reshape and redefine their work during the pandemic.
