About us

The King’s Fund is an independent charity working to improve health and care in England. We help to shape policy and practice through research and analysis; develop individuals, teams and organisations; promote understanding of the health and social care system; and bring people together to learn, share knowledge and debate. Our vision is that the best possible health and care is available to all. We have a high profile and strong reputation for influencing health and care policy, providing leadership development and producing excellent communications.

About the role

We’re creating a new, centralised Marketing team. Be part of it.

You’ll join us at an exciting time, as we bring together different Marketing teams into our ‘One Fund’ centralised function. With this ambitious, co-ordinated approach, we will be better able to leverage our brand and give customers a consistent, joined-up experience. As a Marketing Executive, you’ll be at the heart of this move, and key to our marketing strategy. You’ll deal with a spectrum of work spanning everything from researching and developing products, to promoting programmes, events and consultancy services.

It’s a great way to build your expertise, working alongside the Marketing Manager. You’ll deliver strategy, produce copy for on and offline channels, and develop marketing plans for events, campaigns and programmes. You’ll need to analyse data for insights, brief the digital marketing team and work with our in-house designer on branded marketing materials. We’ll also look to you to update our website and create an e-newsletter.

To join us, you’ll need a degree (or equivalent), strong IT skills and some marketing experience. Attention to detail is important: you should be able to proof documents and update them accurately. However, it’s a gift for communication that really counts, both in person and on paper. As well as an excellent grasp of English, you should be collaborative and good with people. Beyond this, you must be organised, flexible and as passionate about our work as we are.

Here at the Fund, we actively encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds, people from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBT+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge as we recognise that diversity makes us stronger.

Our premises in London are open and for the rest of the year our staff are working in the office at least one day per week. We are in the process of developing our working patterns in the longer term (from 2022) which we expect to include some time working from the office each week to better deliver our work and support our colleagues and clients.
