The Arts and Wellbeing Communities Coordinator, working to the Creative Learning Manager (Arts and Wellbeing), will have a key role in the development and delivery of the arts and wellbeing programme and how that connects to Southbank Centre’s existing network of community partners such as Grounded EcoTherapy, Streetwise Opera, Women for Refugee Women and Breathe. A key objective of the programme is to develop and deliver programmes that tackle loneliness and social isolation and the role will support the Creative Learning Manager (Arts and Wellbeing) to make new community connections.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working collaboratively with community groups or organisations, building and maintaining positive and effective relationships;
  • Has experience of planning and delivery of live events;
  • Is committed to working to ensure inclusivity in and access to the arts for all;
  • Is an excellent communicator who has experience of adapting their communication style to suit different groups and stakeholders and who can communicate with tact and diplomacy at all times;
  • Has the ability to take an empathetic approach to people from different backgrounds while maintaining Southbank Centre’s position;
  • Enjoys working as part of a team with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation;
  • Has an understanding and awareness of the key policy and legislative requirements related to live events including health and safety, access and safeguarding;
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise a heavy workload;
  • Has strong administration skills with experience of following complex processes accurately;
  • Has strong IT skills (including MS Office and Google Drive);
  • Works with strong attention to detail;
  • Has good project management skills, and a proven track record of coordinating projects on time;
  • Has experience of monitoring and working within defined project budgets;
