Description of services and support

At Arts for Dementia we use the power of the arts to inspire people living with dementia to get creative, connect, learn new skills and most importantly, have fun. Our free workshops aim to challenge, boost confidence and wellbeing through a variety of art forms from visual arts, drama, sculpture, dance and more.

Since 2011 we have delivered and championed meaningful artistic activities that profoundly enhance wellbeing and harness creative skills that we know remain vibrant for years after diagnosis.

We aim to build a community that helps people live life to the full.

How do they support the sector

Arts for Dementia has collaborated with many creative sector organisations across London, including Central Saint Martins, where they run art workshops alongside the BA fine art students for people with early-stage dementia or mild cognitive impairment and their companions.

They always pay professional artist facilitators to lead their creative programmes, and they provide training for artists and arts organisations who want to learn how to work effectively with people affected by dementia.
