Canary Wharf is Hosting An Exhibition of 200 Works of Ukrainian Art for Crisis Charity

UK for Ukraine, a new charity raising vital funds for the ongoing crisis, is hosting an exhibition of over 200 pieces of work by Ukrainian artists.

Over in Canary Wharf this week, you can view some brilliant artwork while donating funds towards the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

The UK for Ukraine: Support Through Art Exhibition will be free to visit, and invite visitors to purchase one of over 200 pieces from Ukrainian artists, with all proceeds going to the charity. If you fancy viewing the beautiful pieces without taking them home, but still wish to give towards the cause, donation stations will also be on hand around the exhibition.

Both Canary Wharf venues are working alongside Global Conferences to provide an eclectic mix of art, with some pieces even directly inspired by the war in Ukraine. Music performances are also taking place throughout the week.

Every single piece of work on display at the free exhibition is on public sale, with the prices all somewhere between £100 – £14,000. All of the proceeds will go towards UK For Ukraine, who are working to provide first aid supplies, food and clothing for refugees fleeing the crisis in Ukraine.

Keith Watson, Public Art Curator at Canary Wharf Group, said: “I am very pleased to be able to offer exhibition space within Canary Wharf to showcase the work of Ukrainian artists living in the UK, to raise vital funds for their cause to help in the terrible struggle of people fleeing the conflict.”

One Canada Square remains lit up in Blue and Yellow to show support for Ukraine.
