Arts 4 Dementia invites members to ArtsPAL Befriender Network

Arts 4 Dementia is inviting organisations offering creative and cultural befrienders to join its ArtsPAL Befriender Network. The Network will help individuals with dementia symptoms access inspirational events which can be enjoyed in partnership.

The Network is designed to engage those living with dementia symptoms in cultural and creative activity from the first symptoms of cognitive decline. It is hoped involvement in these activities can enable effective and ongoing diversion during the loss-focussed assessment process and help override symptoms and ease diagnostic concerns.

The ArtsPAL Befriender Network will signpost existing services that can support access to arts activities and creative social prescription programmes both online and when venues reopen.
