Creative Health and Wellbeing: new delivery plan from Arts Council England
Published 14th July 2022
Launching today, Arts Council England has set forth a new 20-page delivery plan for Creative Health and Wellbeing. In Let’s Create, ACE set out their vision for a country transformed by creativity and culture, in which people live happier, healthier lives.
As part of this ambition, they’ve published a plan for how they are going to work within health and social care, and how they will promote collaboration between organisations and practitioners in the creative and health sectors.
The plan coalesces around three clear strands of work, “the 3 P’s” which are:
- Partnerships – working strategically with the health and social care sectors
- Place – embedding the work in ACE’s place–based approach
- Practitioners – focusing on skills development for creative practitioners
The plan includes clear and tangible actions, including working with NASP and the NCCH to put into place outcomes that ladder into the 3 P’s, from ensuring the sector is skilled in understanding the new ICS structure to work on developing and building cultural social prescribing networks.
