Colouring Identity Exhibition showcasing works created during the summer based on cultural identity and expression

October 10, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - October 21, 2022 @ 6:00 pm

Free

We’re proud to showcase a selection of works in our new exhibition ‘Colouring Identity’, created during this summer from workshops hosted across Tower Hamlets.

The focus of the works on exhibit are based on cultural identity and freedom of expression themed around Bangladesh heritage. This year marks 70 years since the Bengali language movement began, Bangladeshi heritage artist Husna Parvin using the medium of water colour worked with young people in creating a body of work to show how language and identity is important from the view of the artist and young creatives.

This project is supported by Tower Hamlets Council, London Youth, Headliners UK, GreatArt and Artgecko Sketchbooks.
