Post-election Briefing on Creative Health

With the general election now complete, and a new government in place, we would like to make sure newly elected MPs are aware of Creative Health and the benefits it can bring across a range of policy areas. Barts Health NHS Trust

Vital Arts are the arts organisation for Barts Health NHS Trust, the largest Trust in the UK. We are charitably funded to deliver art projects that enhance the hospital environment and, in turn, improve the patient experience.

University College London Hospital (UCLH)

Within UCLH, sits the UCLH Arts and Heritage programme. The programme aims to improve patient and staff outcomes through the Arts. UCLH Arts and Heritage receives its funding from UCLH Charity and the Friends of UCLH.

London Business Hub: Guide for Opening, Running and Growing a Cultural or Community Space

A free resource developed by Counterculture LLP to cover legal, financial and practical questions surrounding the opening, running and growing of a cultural or community space

Southbank Centre

The creative learning team at the Southbank Centre has a strand of work exploring arts and wellbeing, including the 'Art by Post' project.

National Academy For Social Prescribing

Government funded organisation launched in 2019 dedicated to the advancement of social prescribing through promotion, collaboration and innovation.

Thrive London

Thrive LDN is a citywide public mental health partnership to ensure all Londoners have an equal opportunity for good mental health and wellbeing. The movement brings together health and care leaders, residents, businesses and community and voluntary organisations to improve mental health and well-being in the capital.

Healthy London Partnership (HLP)

HLP is a partnership of London's NHS, London Councils, Mayor of London who works collaboratively on projects with the shared agenda of making London the healthiest global city

GLA Culture Team

The GLA has three major strands of creative health work they are focusing on over the next few years across various programmes they include: cultural social prescribing, dementia-friendly venues charter, and children and young people's mental health.

Hospital Rooms

Hospital Rooms is an arts and mental health charity that commissions extraordinary artworks for NHS mental health inpatient units across the UK.

Arts and Health Hub

Arts and Health Hub is a London based not-for-profit organisation that supports artists and cultural producers exploring arts & health in their practice. The Hub is artist-led and primarily for artists, although we welcome people from other backgrounds such as health and care professionals.

Rosetta Life

Rosetta Life is a group of artists who work with those living with life-limiting illness to shape and share stories that matter through movement, song, image, film and writing. We aim to transform the stigma of illness and change the perception of disability.

Arts for Dementia

Arts 4 Dementia helps develop activities at arts venues to re-energise and inspire people in the early stages of dementia and their carers. They liaise with arts organisation education departments, memory services care teams and other agencies including the Alzheimer’s Society, Age UK, Dementia Pathfinders, memory and care services,

Breathe Arts Health Research

Breathe Arts Health Research (Breathe) designs and delivers creative programmes, underpinned by scientific research, to improve health and wellbeing.

Portugal Prints

Portugal Prints is an arts project within Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster. We support artists living with mental health difficulties to construct a life beyond the services, a life of creativity and curiosity.

Raw Material Music and Media

Raw Material is a creative arts and music centre for young people and adults, working in both the local area in Lambeth, further afield across London, in other regions of the UK and internationally.

Kazzum Arts

Kazzum Arts uses creativity to enable children and young people who have been impacted by trauma and adversity to feel seen, heard and valued. We do this by providing opportunities to explore creative expression and agency through multidisciplinary arts activities.
