In the Health Humanities Centre sits the Health Humanities MA, which takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding health and illness in society including portrayals of health and illness in literature, film and contemporary culture. UCL leads the WHO Collaborating Centre on Arts and Health and the Social Biobehavioural Research Group works to carry out quantitative and qualitative research into the role of social factors (including arts and cultural engagement) on health across the life course. UCL’s Culture and Public Engagement programmes have been working in the arts and health sector through partnerships with UCLH, to provide networking opportunities between artists and scientists working in public health
