Covid Cafe
March 11, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
FreeSpare Tyre invites you to the Covid Cafe – a creative, inclusive space for anyone learning to live with Long Covid
About this event
Hosted by artists with lived experience of Long Covid, and/or another long-term condition, the Covid Cafe is a place for conversation, creativity – a place to breathe – and try out making changes one step at a time. Whatever you want to talk about will be treated with respect and confidence by the group, whether it’s about work, family, faith, or fun.
Everything’s changed, let’s work it out together.
Sign up to join the drop in session on Friday 11th March at 10am. This session will be facilitated by Monique and Omikemi.
About the artist facilitators:
Omikemi is a creative and healing arts practitioner making spaces for listening and alongsideness. They sometimes do this through writing, body work, work facilitation, friend and fellowship. They currently work as freelance writer and creative mentor for Disability Arts Online, editor for a new publication by Onyx Collective, a group of artists exploring the intersections of (dis)ability and racism, and founder of The Heartwood, an online and in-person Black LGBTQIA+ centred body work space.
Monique is an artist, illustrator, Long Covid advocate and workshop facilitator
