NASP – Co-Production and Social Prescribing

March 29, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Free

Join us to explore the key ingredients of co-production and how it can enhance social prescribing.

About this event

All our webinars have closed captions and live BSL interpretation as standard.

Co-production brings together those who use services with those designing and running them. When done at its best everyone is valued as an equal partner and gets equal benefit out of being involved from the very beginning of a project.

This webinar will explore the key ingredients of co-production, how it can be applied in a social prescribing context, and we’ll hear from a community group doing it in practice.

What will you learn/hear?

  • What is co-production?
  • Why is it important?
  • What are some of its key principles?
  • How to do it if you don’t have a lot of time or resources?
  • How does it relate to social prescribing?

Who is it for?

Anyone interested in learning more about co-production, in particular how it can be applied in a social prescribing context. You might be from a community or voluntary group, a charity, the NHS, or local authority.

Who will be speaking?

Chair: Ingrid Abreu Scherer, Head of Accelerating Innovation at the National Academy for Social Prescribing

Niccola Hutchinson-Pascal, Co-Production Collective

Co-Production Collective is a co-production community where everyone is welcome. They support the co-production of research, services and policy development with an emphasis on amplifying the voices of those who are often ignored or excluded to ensure they can be an equal partner in the decisions that affect their lives and improve outcomes for everyone.
