This event is primarily for people with long term health issues or who have experienced medical trauma, particularly if (mis)managed by medication, but all are welcome. You are encouraged to bring your own empty pill packets with you to make art with. We will discuss medication woes and doctor drama, encouraging collective healing and autonomy over our misbehaving bodies. We will take something out of our control and reclaim some of our power by moulding it into something functional or decorative.

We will learn some basic building techniques if so desired. All levels are welcome, from practicing ceramicists to never having touched clay before.

The resulting work will not be taken home on the day but pick up can be arranged. **These clay works will likely not be food safe** but should be suitable for decorative purposes. Feel free to come along just to have a play with clay, even if you don’t want to make anything to take home – the prime aim is to encourage open discussions about medication choices and self-advocacy.
