St George’s Hospital Charity is looking for a talented and confident Head of Arts (Maternity Cover) to lead our arts programme. The post holder will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of an ambitious and thriving Trust-wide arts programme, that aims to bring the very best arts and culture into our hospitals.

At St George’s Hospital Charity, we believe that enabling arts and culture to thrive in our hospitals is a vital part of our work. Our arts team programme and produce high quality arts and cultural activities that transform our hospital communities, ensuring that patients, their families and staff have a positive experience of being in hospital.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for taking forward a planned programme of activities over the 12 months working together with Arts Engagement Manager and will also play a role in devising future projects and developing our plans.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the positive impact that engagement in arts and culture can have on people’s lives. They will bring their own ideas and experience to the arts programme and the wider Charity. They will have a track record of managing projects and building relationships with artists, communities and organisations, combining practical on the ground working alongside strategic planning. They will also have experience of working collaboratively to develop inclusive projects that increase audience access and engagement.
