Drashti recently completed her MSc in Creative Arts and Mental Health from Queen Mary University of London with a distinction in her dissertation on the effectiveness of creative art and therapeutic programs in building ownership and self-esteem for criminalised youth. Drashti has experience working with diverse education non-profits and completed an action research in Arts-Based Therapy (ABT).

Through facilitating such arts-based therapeutic spaces and managing projects in the space, Drashti aspires to advocate for arts and health policy and systemic integration.
Currently, she is part of the Advisory Committee in the 2.8 Million Minds network with young people who have experienced care, she is partnering with organisations and people working on young people’s wellbeing to reimagine mental health services as they are provided currently and support their on-ground projects that work creatively with children and young people. Drashti led the discussion forum and panel at the network’s arts and health festival- Rewire. Currently, Drashti has been leading the planning and execution of People’s Palace Projects’ three-day event- Blue Festival: The Art of Mental Health, and an Arts Council England-funded project for implementing theatre-based engagements on developing emotional resilience in schools in East London.
