Acting / Leadership Course from The National Youth Theatre of GB

Stepping Up Course
Into acting, drama or supporting others to learn? Stepping Up is a drama and leadership programme from National Youth Theatre for 18-25 year olds who aren’t currently in work or education. Choose from either an Acting or Leadership pathway and work towards a Level 2 qualification part-time across three months in North London.

Acting Pathway (2.5 days a week on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)
For those who do not yet have a level 3 qualification, or who are new to performing or who want to increase their confidence or be considered for Playing Up in 2022 (9 month, level 3 qualification from NYT).

Leadership Pathway (2.5 days a week on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)
For those who may already hold a level 2 or 3 qualification, or who have experience undertaking theatre or applied theatre projects in the past and have an interest in becoming facilitators in the future.

Am I eligible for a free place?
You are eligible for a funded place if you are:
• 18 – 25 years old
• Live in London
AND
You are unemployed and in receipt of benefits.
OR
You do not yet hold a full level 2 qualification.

We’re particularly interested in applications from care leavers, those whose circumstances may have prevented them from completing Secondary School or FE education, neurodiverse and learning disabled learners, or refugees, asylum seekers or newly arrived migrants with the right to study in the UK.
