Living Well With Parkinson’s – Race Equality in Research

Register your interest now in an online Living well with Parkinson’s event for Black communities that Parkinson’s UK is currently planning for 2024.

Parkinson’s UK believe that Parkinson’s research should involve, include and represent all members of the community. But research has often not included the voices of people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, meaning our understanding of the condition does not reflect the experience of everyone.

Through their Race Equality in Research project, Parkinson’s UK are working with communities to build relationships and increase representation in research. They are committed to producing a long-term strategy to increase engagement and participation in Parkinson’s research with people from Black, Asian and Mixed Race backgrounds. You can read more about the Race Equality in Research project here.

In 2024, Parkinson’s UK will be holding an online event for Black communities to hear more about how to access support, advice and how to live well with Parkinson’s.
You can register your interest in the event through this form.
