The MARCH Network set out to transform our understanding of how social, cultural and community assets enhance public mental health and wellbeing, help prevent mental illness, and support those living with mental health conditions.

With generous funding from UK Research and Innovation, MARCH brought together nearly 2,000 researchers, policy makers, community organisations and individuals with lived experience of mental illness. We came together to unite research with policy and practice to tackle critical questions of research priorities, methods, and implementation in this field; understand and resolve barriers to mobilising community assets; and provide training and support to the next generation of researchers.

As our network comes to an end, this online event will celebrate the work we have done together, and the advances we’ve made. We will discuss the exciting initiatives that will support and catalyse further research, interventions and advocacy, to ensure this area of work continues to move from the sidelines of mental health research to the mainstream.
