Freelance Futures
May 13, 2022 - June 15, 2022
FreeA summer programme of learning and action for equitable conditions in culture
Freelance : Futures is a call for collective learning and action to build equitable conditions for freelance working in culture. Through free resources, workshops, panel discussions, self-organising spaces and virtual gatherings (13th June – 17th June ) , we explore sector organising spaces, freelancer rights and resources, organisational transformation and policy – making.
Freelance : Futures is a 9-week programme for independent practitioners, cultural organisations, unions, funders and policymakers. The programme has been convened by a freelancer-led consortium, who have come together to build on existing advocacy, research and campaigning across culture.
F:F Programme
Over 9 weeks, we invite you to take a journey:
13th May – Full Programme Launch: Registration opens for all F:F events
16th May – 10th June: Getting informed, resourced and connected
13th June – 17th June: Online gathering, working together and creating change
20th June – 15th Jul: Continuing the work, embedding shifts and defining next actions
Access & Bursary Requests
All events are free, ticketed, and accessible. In recognition that freelancers are not often remunerated for the time taken to attend sector events, the consortium has created 40 bursaries of £250 to enable more freelancers to engage.
