Unwind after work, with a creative workshop. Join Katie, who is qualified counsellor, for this special session exploring Art Therapy where you can explore creative, fun ways to tackle stress in a social setting, at Balham Library’s Hall/

Basic material will be provided, but feel free to bring your own painting supplies. Expect to paint, reflect and chat about ideas to discover the potential of cathartic creative outlet! This class is for adults and is part of our Stress Awareness Month and Mental Health Awareness Week programme of event for April and May.

Upon commencement of sessions, a form will be signed by participants that personal information disclosed within sessions is sensitive if not confidential and is trusted not to leave the room. However, any information that is shared that the counsellor present deems an explicit threat of a danger to life then be shared with authorities/ reported in line with safeguarding procedures.

These sessions, although led by a qualified counsellor, are designed to talk about, destigmatise and tackle stress and low intensity mental health problems in a social and creative way and are in no way substitute to Professional Psychological treatment.
