Prisoner Participation the Arts – expression of interest

Deadline: 10th November 2022, 11:59pm

About the grant

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is looking to appoint a supplier to coordinate activities around offenders’ art and curating art exhibitions within prison establishments, immigration removal centres and the Youth Custody Service, involving and engaging offenders in custody in the art, as part of Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service’ (HMPPS) objectives of rehabilitation.

This Grant aims to increase offender engagement in creative endeavours through a mixture of different arts and activities, to support their learning, personal and social development, health and wellbeing and individual desistance journey.

Grant funding totalling £225,000 across 3 years is available for this requirement. The service is required to commence from 1st April 2023.

The Ministry of Justice is holding a virtual market engagement event on Wednesday 16th November 2022 at 11.30am to present more detail about this requirement. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
