What is the Clore Fellowship?

As the world changes, so do the needs of the sector – and the demands on cultural leaders. Our programme addresses the needs of cultural leaders today and for he future #MakeYourDifference

The Clore Fellowship is the leaders who have ambition and vision, and can show clearly how they might take their leadership to the next level. We are looking for leaders who are dynamic, strategic and collaborative; who possess a high degree of intellectual curiosity, creativity, integrity and emotional intelligence. You will be entrepreneurial and driven to making a difference in your organisation, community of practice, sector and/or society through culture.

This adaptive programme is for leaders from across the cultural sector who are poised to take on significant leadership challenge, to make a step change in their leadership careers and the cultural sector; perhaps you are about to take on a major project or executive leadership role, or are develop your organisation. Weather working independently or as part of an institution, you will be able to demonstrate your aptitude and appetite for effecting significant change.

We aim to increase the diversity of leaders in arts and culture and particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and ethnically diverse leaders and D/deaf and disabled leaders who are currently under-represented in the sector.

Dates and Information

Residential 1 Norton Park, nr Winchester 26th September to the 4th October 2022

Skills Workshops, Wallace Space January 2023 (dates tbc)

Intensive Whole Cohort project February 2023 (dates tbc)

Residential 2 Norton Park, nr Winchester 27th – 31st March 2023.

Costs and Finances

The Fellowship Programme is generously supported by a range of funding partners. We aim to remove the economic barriers to participation as much as possible and most Fellowships are fully funded. Find out more.

We will be hosting two Q&A sessions on Zoom, where we’ll share some helpful tips and insights into the application process and you’ll also have the opportunity to put your questions to the team and some of our alumni.

Places are limited so please register your interest below.

11:30 – 12:30 Wednesday 26 January (for Black, Asian and Ethnically diverse applicants only)

 

Clore Fellowship Applications 2022 – Q&A for employers of applicants

13:00 – 14:00 Tuesday 25 January on zoom (Please note: this session will be recorded)

Clore Leadership is offering a Q&A targeted at employers who may be supporting employees to apply for the 2022 Clore Fellowship. This might include those working in HR roles, line managers or those with responsibility for professional development within your organisation:

In this session you will:

  • Hear from members of the Clore Leadership team
  • find out more about the Fellowship scheme
  • hear more about how taking part may benefit your employee and your organisation
  • gain an understanding of how to best to support members of your team to apply to the Fellowship

Clore Fellowship 2022 Application Timeline

Applications are now open and will close at 12 noon on Thursday 24 February 2022. Please note applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

  • Applications open – Thursday 13 January 2022
  • Applications close – Noon Thursday 24 February 2022
  • Wc 21 March – Applicants informed of outcome
  • Fellowship interviews April and May 2022 (dates pending)
  • Notification of interview outcomes late May 2022
