World Suicide Prevention Day, 10th September

Thrive London

#ZeroSuicideLDN campaign – a big thank you!

The #ZeroSuicideLDN campaign has seen more than 250,000 Londoners complete suicide prevention training since launching in 2019, far exceeding the original target of 100,000 set by the Mayor. A huge thank you for helping to support and drive the campaign regionally and locally.

For World Suicide Prevention Day 2021, we have refreshed the campaign materials and collectively want to encourage the campaign to go even further – setting a new target of half a million Londoners by the end of the current Mayoral term.

The campaign materials have been shared with your organisations through our communications networks, however, if you would like to download the campaign toolkit it can be accessed here.

New resource available to support people who witness a suicide

On World Suicide Prevention Day, we will also be publishing a new resource to support witnesses of suicide that was developed in partnership with the Support After Suicide Partnership and Grassroots. Alongside the digital resource there will be a website with additional content for professionals. The resource can be accessed here (from 9am on Friday).

Virtual summit

Thrive LDN has partnered with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and South East London Mind to co-host a World Suicide Prevention Day conference and service of remembrance. More information can be found here.

TfL wellbeing poster campaign

Lastly, coinciding with World Suicide Prevention Day, in partnership with Transport for London, we are re-running our wellbeing posters across the London Underground network between 3 and 24 September.
