Grief letter

I am inviting you to take part in my ongoing community project Grief Letter. It was launched in October 2022 and has been racing around the world, reaching Australia, Ireland, Poland, Japan and many more.

This project grew from my personal struggle with loss of my dad to dementia in 2020. I found it hard to verbalise my experience and instead wrote a letter. It had a transformative effect that I wanted to share with others. Today, this project is ongoing and has resulted in the collection of over one hundred letters speaking about different kind of loss: physical, identity, relationship. These letters will be responded to via different medium: painting, sculpture, sound, drawing, video, photography, writing. It will culminate in the exhibition to promote grief support and open the conversation about something that is traditionally supposed to be hidden.
