The power of music for people living with dementia in Action Paul Harvey conducts the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra!

BBC Breakfast, who have championed the inspiring story of Paul and Nick Harvey, continued to bring home the importance of music for people living with dementia by sharing the story of Paul conducting the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in the performance of his “Four Notes”. A beautiful and emotional moment for all present and watching on TV, it showed that music helps people to be seen for who they are, beyond their diagnosis.

Paul’s incredible journey with his musical composition and the donation it inspired from Sir Tom and Lady Marion Hunter, is a shining example of music in action. Organisations up and down the country are able to deliver more of their vital musical services because of “Four Notes” and the inspirational power of music.
